10 years ago this year, the first Drakengard was released. And for the anniversary, Square Enix brings us the latest installment in the dragon riding adventure, Drakengard 3. Drakengard 3 is set to be a prequel to the first game. According to Square Enix’s official website:
Players play as Zero, the eldest of six “Intoner” sisters who wield special magical abilities. Zero is on a quest to murder her five sisters with the help of her dragon companion, Mikhail.
With Drakengard 3 being a prequel, it’ll be a treat for old fans to pick up, as well as newcomers, like myself, who haven’t played the first two installments. I’m personally a big fan of hack-and-slash games so can’t wait to pick this one up.
Drakengard 3 will be released exclusively as a digital title for the PS3 in 2014.
