Aloha Netv Fans! More information about Pokemon Sun and Moon was released today!!
Let’s just give you what you’re looking for right away, here are the two new trailers released today; the English Trailer and the Japanese trailer!
We got 5 new Pokemon of Gen 7 with this trailer; the two cover Legendary’s and the 3 starters! While we didn’t get an info about the Legendary’s (apart from how they look), we received plenty of new information regarding the starters.
Rowlet (Grass/Flying)
Rowlet can attack without making a sound! it flies silently through the skies, drawing near to its opponent without being noticed, and then lashing out with powerful kicks. It can also attack from a distance using the razor-sharp leaves that form part of it’s feathers. Its visual abilities are impressive. The darkness of night is no obstacle to Rowlet! It can twist its neck nearly 180 degrees from front to back so it can see directly behind itself. It has a habit of turning its head in battle to face its trainer and receive instructions.ย
Litten (Fire)
Logical but passionate, Litten always remains coolheaded and doesn’t show it’s emotions on the surface. Litten can attack with flaming hairballs! Its fur is rich in oils and immensely flammable. Litten grooms itself by licking its fur, and then uses the collected fuel for fireball attacks. When the time comes for Litten to shed its old fur, it all burns up in a glorious blaze.
Popplio (Water)
Popplio’s swimming speed is known to exceed 25 mph. It’s better at moving in water than on land. Still, when it’s on land, it takes advantage of the elasticity of its balloons to perform acrobatic stunts and jumps. Popplio can snort out balloons made of water! Watch it spin water balloons into a playful battle strategy. Both frivolous and hard-working, Popplio can easily get carried away–unleashing enough power in battle to make it quite a spectacle! But Popplio’s determined spirit means it can usually be found practicing hard on its balloon skills.ย
The NETV staff has its own prediction about these new starters. Apart from Rowlet, which will obviously be Grass/Flying, here are some of the predictions we have;
Litten: Fire/Ground. Fire/Dark, Fire/Rock
Popplio: Water/Fairy, Water/Ground, Water/Steel
One of the conversations we had was about whether or not the will bring back the double type advantage like they had in Gen 6 (Grass/Fighting–>Water/Dark–>Fire/Psychic), or if the secondary types will mean anything past what works with the Pokemon. Let us know what you think in the comments below!
As for what else we know, we can highly speculate that the region is based off of Hawaii. While this has not been officially confirmed, it can be assumed likely off of the trailers…oh and the fact that the place is called the Alola region.
ALOLA EVERYONE
The legendary’s have not had much revealed yet, not much more than speculation (just like the starters);
Bat: Dark/Steel, Dark/Dragon, Dark/Flying
Lion: Fire/Fairy, Fire/Steel,
Character customization also makes a comeback!
