A recent FCC filing was discovered for a SNES-styled wireless controller for the Nintendo Switch, leading many to believe that SNES games may finally be coming to Nintendo Switch Online (via Polygon)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward released 24-minutes of footage featuring several modes of multiplayer gameplay
Overwatch‘s 31st hero, Sigma, along with the game’s new role queue update, is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One
EA and Ghost Games have announced Need For Speed Heat, the latest entry in the Need For Speed franchise
The game releases on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Nov. 8
Publisher THQ Nordic made a series of announcements regarding the future of several of its franchises
A brand new Saints Row is in development at Volition
Dambuster Studios (Homefront: The Revolution) is now leading development on Dead Island 2
A new TimeSplitters game could possibly be in development, with series co-creator Steve Ellis recently joining the publisher (via Polygon)
Bubble Bobble 4 Friends, a new game in the classic Bubble Bobble series is coming to Nintendo Switch in Europe on Nov. 19, and early 2020 in the U.S
Hey, Spelunky fans! Unfortunately, I don't think we're going to get to release Spelunky 2 this year. Development is still going well and we're not far off target, but the density and detail of the game is demanding more time.
Spelunky 2, the sequel to the hit indie rogue-like Spelunky, has been delayed past its initial 2019 goal, according to lead developer Derek Yu on Twitter
Hyper Light Drifter and Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden are noew free on the Epic Games Store until Aug. 22 (via Epic Games)
In other Epic Games Store news, the storefront has started to roll out cloud saves for several games (via Polygon)
A new trailer for Pokémon Sword and Shield was released, showing of several of the game’s new battle mechanics, items, and Pokémon abilities
Nintendo is currently offering those who purchased an older model Nintendo Switch on or after July 17 the ability to exchange for the newer mode for free (via Polygon)
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition is coming to Steam (PC) and PlayStation 4 on Oct. 17
The game bundles all previously released DLC that came to the Nintendo Switch version

Developer Atlus has revealed Persona 5: Royal, an updated version of the 2017 JRPG with new content and characters, will come to the U.S in Spring 2020
Sega has started teasing an announcement at Gamescom with a new website featuring a heartbeat monitor (via Sega)
In movie news, Korean director Bong Joon-ho’s (Snowpiercer, Okja) newest film, Parasite (winner of the Palme d’Or at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival) is coming to the U.S on Oct. 11
The first trailer for Dolemite is My Name, a Netflix biopic on the origins of 70’s Blaxploitation icon Dolemite was released
Starring Eddie Murphy, Keegan Michael Key, and Wesley Snipes, the comedy releases this Fall
Netflix also released a new trailer for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance
The series premieres on Aug. 30
Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, a feature-length followup to the Nickelodeon animated series, is now streaming on Nefllix
