Greetings folks and welcome back to NETV!

We have had site maintenance for a while but we are ready to plunge into the dank depths and transmute only the tastiest news morsels for you!

In this edition, we have some Pokemon Sun and Moon news to share. This is hot off the Hawaii Alolan press.

First up:

Sun & Moon Day/Night Cycles

It appears Sun and Moon represents more than just specific Legendaries and the title for the games. The Sun version will be set to your 3DS time and the Moon version will be 12 hours ahead. Which one will you get with this information in mind?

In addition to the Day and Night cycles, it also is apparent that key differences, such as Totem Pokemon will depend on which version of the game. Here we can see a Totem Gumshoos for Sun and a Totem Alolan Raticate for Moon.

Speaking of Raticate…

The Alolan Raticate was announced on the heels of the New Alolan Rattata form we saw last week.

Here’s some details and flavor text for the fat rat!

Type: Dark/Normal-type
Classification: Mouse Pokémon
Height: 2’04”
Weight: 56.2lbs
Ability: Gluttony or Hustle

This Pokémon was revealed in the September 6th video.

Because urban areas are their main habitat, their diet is higher in calories than ordinary Raticate. As a result, they have become hefty. Alolan Raticate prefers to eat only fresh fruits and high-class ingredients. There are rumors that a certain top-notch restaurant takes advantage of Alolan Raticate’s taste buds by bringing it along when choosing ingredients to buy, and having it taste test new dishes. Alolan Raticate continually stockpile huge amounts of food in their nests. They mostly prefer to send out Alolan Rattata to gather food while they themselves stay home in their nests and just eat. Alolan Raticate is the Totem Pokémon of the trial that takes place in Verdant Cavern on Melemele Island in Pokémon Moon. It summons Rattata to help it confront those who take on the trial.

What? That’s the only new pokemon? LAME!

Oh, you are mistaken… what’s next is… some kind of programming error? You’ll see what I mean.typenullfull

No, that isn’t a typo or filler text. A new pokemon named Type: Null was announced today. Weird, right? Here’s some more info on this crazy looking ‘Mon

English Name: Type: Null
Jp. Name: Type: Null (タイプ:ヌル)

Type: Normal-type
Classification: Synthetic Pokémon
Height: 6’03”
Weight: 265.7 lbs
Ability: Battle Armor

This Pokémon was revealed in the news release on September 6th

This Pokémon wearing a mask has been dubbed “Null,” meaning nothing. The shapes of its front and hind legs are clearly different. The reason is that Type: Null was constructed to synthesize the strengths of various Pokémon, enabling it to adapt to any situation. The mask fitted to Type: Null’s head is a piece of equipment designed to control its latent powers. It’s extremely heavy, so it also serves to hinder Type: Null’s agility. To complete a certain mission, there was need of a Pokémon powerful enough to rival those Pokémon often spoken of in mythology.

Alchemical Abomination? Let’s hope Type: Null doesn’t murder us all. I kinda want to know what’s under the mask though.

Another Pokemon on the island!

English Name: Jangmo-o
Jp. Name: Jarako (ジャラコ)

Type: Dragon-type
Classification: Scaly Pokémon
Height: 2’00”
Weight: 65.5lbs
Ability: Bullet Proof or Sound Proof

This Pokémon was revealed in the news release on September 6th

Jangmo-o has the pride of a warrior, although it remains humble about its capabilities. In its pursuit to become stronger, it never neglects its training. Because Jangmo-o uses the scales on its head for both offense and defense, it never turns its back to its enemies. Many Trainers see this behavior and take it as proof that Jangmo-o is a valiant Pokémon. Jangmo-o gather in harsh locales like canyons, where no other people or Pokémon are around, to live together as they train.

A… good team?

It was shown that “The Aether Foundation” is in direct opposition to Team Skull’s goals. They have formed a man made island off the coast of the Alola islands to serve as a sanctuary for Pokemon targeted by Team Skull.

A Villain Emerges!

According to Destructioid, Gladion, the taciturn enforcer of Team Skull places a high value on being strong in battle. He will sport Type: Null. Not much more is known yet.

Pokemon Snap!

We asked and asked for it and now we’re getting it… Kind of? Looks like a minigame in Sun and Moon will be very reminiscent of the famous N64 Game.

Zygardge’s Return!

For whatever reason, Zygarde is important in Sun and Moon. You’ll be able to follow the quest of putting his cells back together and achieving ultimo-form.

Finally, the craziest news so far

What? Are these even Pokemon?

Ultra Beast 01

This is apparently NOT a pokemon! Today’s reveal was only a teaser, but here’s some information, courtesy of Serebii

English Name: UB-01
Jp. Name: UB-01

Type: ??-type

This Beast was revealed in the news release on September 6th

UB-01’s body is composed of a glass-like substance. However, it’s constantly changing shapes, never settling on one. While evidence of something like a survival instinct can be observed in UB-01, no one knows whether it has a will of its own or any emotions. It’s said that, for some reason, its movements resemble those of a young girl.

Hmmm… a young girl? Perhaps…

Lillie is described as a mysterious girl who is central to the plot of Pokémon Sun and Moon. She assists Professor Kukui for personal reasons. She dislikes Pokémon battles, but loves to read.

Interesting… all very interesting.

So, all in all… kind of a slow news day, save for some pretty unexpected stuff. Will we see the return of Mega Evolution… or is it gone with the Alolan wind? Let us know what you think is coming next!

Love, TehCoolRich
