In a surprise announcement that had been leaked earlier in the week, Valve announced Half-Life: Alyx, a VR exclusive Half-Life game set prior to the events of Half-Life 2
Releasing in March 2020 on Steam, the game is powered by Valve’s SteamVR software and will be compatible with all PC-based VR headsets, including Valve Index, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Windows Mixed Reality
Those who purchase the Valve Index VR headset will get free access to the game on launch
