Here are some of last week’s highlights in gaming, movies, and more:

  • Saints Row: The Third Remastered, a remaster of the 2011 open world sandbox game, is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on May 22
  • Lego and Nintendo revealed a new look at the Lego Super Mario kits set to release later this year
  • In a BBC interview, Disco Eysium‘s art director Aleksander Rostov revealed that the award winning noir RPG would be heading to Nintendo Switch sometime this year (via Polygon)
  • No Man’s Sky Exo Mech Update has added playable mech suits for players to explore and combat with
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (and Warzone) dropped Season 3 of its content rollout, with new maps, modes, weapons, and cosmetics coming to both the standard multiplayer and free-to-play battle royale shooter
  • Sony revealed a first look at the PlayStation 5’s new controller, the DualSense
  • Grounded, the first game from Obsidian (The Outer Worlds, Pillars of Eternity series) published by Microsoft after their acquisition, will go into early Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on July 28
  • Google Stadia has become free for those with a Gmail account, and Stadia Pro will be free for two months
    • Those who are existing Stadia Pro subscribers won’t be charged for the next two months of the service (via Polygon)
  • Amazon Game Studios has delayed its upcoming MMO, New Worlds, to August due to the development challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic (via Polygon)
  • Final Fantasy XIV’s latest update has also been delayed due to the development challenges during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic (via Polygon)
  • Assassin’s Creed 2 will be own on PC starting on April 14, via Ubisoft’s uPlay game launcher/store (via Polygon)
  • A remake of Resident Evil 4, the 2005 action-horror classic, is reportedly in development at Capcom under a studio led by former PlatinumGames president Tatsuya Minami (via Video Games Chronicle)
  • In movie news, Disney’s classic animated version of Robin Hood is reportedly getting a live-action remake (via THR)
