Here are some of last week’s highlights in gaming, movies, and more:

 

  • Respawn released details for their latest limited-time event for Apex Legends, titled the Fight Night Collection Event
  • A recent job listing at Respawn Entertainment possibly hints a the developer working on a new IP (via Respawn)

 

  • PlayStation revealed January’s collection of free games for PS Plus subscribers on PS5 and PS4, including Maneater, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Greedfall

 

  • Guilty Gear Strive revealed the game’s latest fighter, Anji Mito
    • Guilty Gear Strive is planned to release on PS4, PS5, and PC in April 2021
  • Developers Yoko Taro and Yosuke Saito, known for their work on the Nier series, are reportedly working on two new titles (via Destructoid)

 

  • Developer GSC Game World dropped the first in-engine footage of the long-awaited S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

 

  • In movie/streaming news, DC Films ad Warner Bros. outlined their plans to release new films and series both in theaters and HBO Max starting in 2022 (via The New York Times)
  • After the conclusion of its second season, it has been confirmed that a third season of His Dark Materials has been greenlit (via Polygon)
