Here are some of the week’s highlights in gaming, movies, and more:

  • Nintendo announced that a new color of Nintendo Switch Lite, coral pink, will release on April 3rd
  • CD Project Red rolled out a new update for The Witcher 3: Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch, giving players more graphics options as well as the ability to bring their saves from the GOG or Steam version
  • The employees at the leading crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter, have voted to form a union
  • Empire of Sin, a mafia-themed turn-based strategy game from Romero Games announced during E3 2019, was delayed until Fall 2020
  • Grand Theft Auto 4: Complete Edition will return to Steam on March 19, after getting pulled down in January due to the game’s integration with Games for Windows Live
    • The game will return without multiplayer modes, and with several in-game music stations temporarily removed (via Polygon)
  • Sony has decided to pull out of Boston’s upcoming PAX East convention due to the recent coranavirus concerns (via PlayStation Blog)
  • Sony, Oculus, and Facebook Gaming have also pulled out of this year’s GDC over coronavirus concerns (via Polygon)
  • Square Enix also dialed back on their PAX East plans, as the Final Fantasy XIV team has pulled out of the event (via Polygon)
  • Nintendo live-streamed an Animal Crossing: New Horizons themed Nintendo Direct on Feb. 20, showing off several of the new features that players can look forward when the game launches on March 20th
  • Fortnite‘s Chapter 2 Season 2 content has launched
    • It was also revealed that Marvel’s Deadpool will be the season’ hidden outfit (via Polygon)
  • Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Faeria are currently free on the Epic Games Store until Feb. 27th (via Epic Games Store)
  • Cross-platform party play is currently in public beta for PUBG players on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (via Polygon)
  • Most of Bethesda’s games library has been removed from Nvidia’s GeForce NOW streaming service (via Nvidia)
  • Sabotage, developers of 2018’s indie action platformer The Messenger, will announce a new project on March 19th
  • In streaming news, a new trailer for the third season of HBO’s Westoworld premiered
    • The new season begins on March 15th
  • HBO also released a new trailer for its miniseries The Plot Against America, based on the Philip Roth novel of the same name
    • The series begins on March 16th
  • The first trailer for Netflix’s I Am Not Okay With This, a Netflix series adaptation of Charles Forman’s graphic novel of the same name, was released
    • The series releases on Feb. 26th
  • A Borderlands movie officially happening, getting produced by Lionsgate with director Eli Roth (Hostel series, The Green Inferno) at the helm (via Polygon)
  • New set photos of next year’s The Batman have shown a closer look at the film’s version of the hero’s costume (via Polygon)
